Results of activity of KRTH "ZANGAR" OJSC (Kazakhstan) for the I half- year of 2003

/KASE, September 3, 03/ - KRTH "ZANGAR" OJSC (Almaty), whose shares are circulating in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) official "B" listing category, provided KASE with financial statement for the I half-year of 2003. Following indicators are result of the issuer's financial and economic activity for the I half-year of 2003, based upon the issuer's data (in th. Relative to similar period of 2002 there are following changes: - shareholders' equity of the company increased by KZT118.3 m. as the result of increase of the paid part of authorized capital - by 78.0 th., and total sum of undistributed income - by 124.2 m., whereas there took place decrease of additionally unpaid capital by 6.0 m.; - assets increased by KZT3.6 bn. as the result of increase of accounts receivable by 3.7 bn., that was partially covered by decrease of other assets by 87.1 m.; - liabilities increased by KZT3.5 bn. that was caused by credits borrowing for 3.3 bn. and by increase of accounts payable by 230.3 m.; - sales volume decreased by KZT176.6 m.; - cost of goods sold decreased by KZT115.5 m. Net income, which KRTH "ZANGAR" OJSC received according to results of the I half-year of 2003, decreased relative to similar period of 2002 by KZT116.1 m. or 2.3 times.
