/IRBIS, September 2, 03/ - In the first 8 months of year 2003, volume of transactions on government securities (GS) purchase and sale at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) including bonds of local executive bodies reached KZT193,118.3 m ($1,280.5 m.) and increased by 40.3 % relative to similar period of the last year. In the whole 2002 the volume of corresponding transactions on GS at KASE was KZT300,374.9 m. ($1,951.1 m.).
