In the I half-year volume of electrical power transfer through networks of KEGOC rose by 6.4%

/Kazakhstan today, August 11, 03/ - In the first half-year of 2003 volume of
electrical power transfer through networks of Kazakhstan company KEGOC rose
by 6.4% (760.2 m. kilowatt/h) in comparison with similar period of last year,
having equaled to 12.6 bn. kilowatt/h. Press-service of KEGOC informed KZ-
today about it.
Increasing of volumes, the company noted, occurred in accordance with export
supplies of electrical power to Russia from "Station Ekibastuzskaya HPS-2" in
the volume of 1.7 bn. kilowatt/h.
Volumes of services on technical production control were
28.5 bn. kilowatt/h, that was higher by 16.2% (4 bn. kilowatt/h) than the level
of corresponding level of 2002. Growth of services on technical production
control was caused by increase of electrical power production and imported
electrical power consumption.
As is known, since January 1 of 2003 there were confirmed and set in operation
new tariffs for services of KEGOC OJSC.
As the result, the company informed, by the results of the work within the
first half-year actual average tariff for services on electrical power transfer
exceeded the level of tariff of similar period of last year by 7.8% and equaled
to 0.454 tenge/kilowatt/h; tariff for services on technical production control
equaled to 0.0463 tenge/kilowatt/h against 0.029 tenge/kilowatt/h in 2002.
Services on provision consumers with reliability and stability of power supply,
who have built own lines, were rendered by the confirmed tariff 0.089
tenge/kilowatt/h.
