Board of DB Alfa-Bank OJSC (Almaty) has set coupon rate on the bank's bonds of the 1st issue for the next 18 months at the rate of 9.0% APR

/KASE, August 7, 03/ - On July 16 of 2003 the Board of DB Alfa-Bank OJSC (Almaty), in compliance with the terms of issue of the bank's indexed bonds of the first issue (KZ2CKY06A497; official "A" listing category, ALBNb1; KZT15,000, KZT1,500.0 m.; February 28, 02 - February 28, 08; semi-annual coupon 9.0% APR for the first 18 months of circulation) determined securities' coupon rate for the next 18 months of circulation at the rate of 9.0% APR of the face value. The bank's official notification, which was sent to Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), says about it. According to the terms of bonds issue and circulation each 18 not later than 20 calendar days before ending of each half-year period of securities circulation the bank announces interest rate for the next 18 months of bonds circulation by publishing information in newspapers "Kazakhstanskaya pravda", "Yegemen Kazakstan" and by sending informational message to KASE. The rate is set by the Board's decision, but it can not be lower than LIBOR rate on 12-month interbank deposits in US dollars, which were determined on the date of announcing the rate for the next 18 months. In case of disagreement with the size of interest rate bondholder has the right, not later than 10 calendar days before ending of each eighteenth month of securities circulation, to present to the bank written statement with the request about redemption of his bonds.
