Alliance Bank OJSC (Kazakhstan) informed on results of its activity in first half year 2003

/IRBIS, July 8, 03/ - Today Alliance Bank OJSC (Almaty) distributed press release, where the information on main results of bank's activity as of July 1, 2003 in accordance with Kazakhstan standards is presented. In particular, it is informed that assets of the bank increased by 1.5 times and totaled KZT34bn. The growth of loan portfolio was 60%, having increased from KZT16bn as of January 1, 2003 to KZT25.6bn as of July 1, 2003. Deposits portfolio of Alliance Bank OJSC up by KZT6.7bn for the reported period, amounting to KZT 23.1bn as of July 1 of the current year. At that, growth in term deposits of individuals was 1.7 times or KZT3bn. Shareholders' equity of the bank grew 1.6 times for the first half-year (from 2.1 bn tenge as of the beginning of the year to 3.4bn tenge as of July 1). Bank also informs that the income of the bank by results of activity in the first half year totaled KZT162.6 m (income for 2002 totaled KZT40.6m). [2003-07-08]
