quote
Fitch Ratings has revised its outlook on Samruk-Energy's rating, upgrading it
from "Stable" to "Positive", and has also affirmed Samruk-Energy's long-term
credit ratings at "BB".
The upgrading of the outlook reflects the expected improvement in Samruk-
Energy's stand-alone credit rating due to stronger credit metrics, an upward
revision of the ceiling for electricity generation tariffs and a decrease in the
Company's foreign exchange risks.
The Agency positively assesses the reduction of the Group's foreign exchange
risks after a significant reduction in debt denominated in foreign currency, to
about 2% of total debt at the end of 2020, compared with 60% at the end of
2016.
