In June of 2003 volume of deals on GS purchase and sale at KASE totaled KZT16.2 bn and decreased by 21.7%

/IRBIS, July 1, 03/ - In June of year 2003, in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange's (KASE) GS purchase and sale sector 244 deals for the total amount of KZT16,179.3 m ($108.7 m) were fixed. Last month number of deals, which was 269, reached KZT20,657.9 m ($137.0 m). During the month exchange's turnover in the sector decreased by 21.7% in tenge and 20.6% in dollars. Relative to June of 2002 the exchange's turnover increased by 11.0% (by KZT1,609.6 m). In primary floatation sector successful specialized trades on primary floatation of municipal indexed bonds of Astana oblast of the sixth (KZZ4KY040062, AST048.006, KZT1,300,000,000, KZT100, June 26, 03 - June 24, 07, semi-annual coupon 8.50% APR) issue were held. During floatation there were made 9 deals to the total amount of KZT1,299,883,028.02. In purchase and sale sector there were made 235 deals to the total amount of KZT14,879.5 m. In comparison with previous month turnover in the sector increased by 13.8%.
