/KASE, December 20, 2020/ – Samruk-Energy (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds are
officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with
the following communique dated December 20, 2020:

On the eve of their professional holiday, the power-generating enterprises of
Samruk-Energy JSC ensured the fulfillment of annual plans ahead of schedule:
Ekibastuz GRES-2 generated 4.7 mln kWh of electricity, which is 107 % of the
plan, Moinak HPP – over 915 thousand kWh of electricity (104%). The volume of
coal production at the open-pit mines of Bogatyr Komir LLP amounted to 41.8
mln tons (104% of the annual plan).
In general, the power generating organizations of Samruk-Energy JSC,
maintaining the dynamics of growth of indicators compared with last year, as of
December 20, 2020, produced 29,897 mln kWh of energy (103%), which is up 3 %
YoY. This is about 28% of the total output of power generating organizations
in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the passing year, the company completed or started fundamentally important
projects that actually form the picture of the future of Kazakhstan's energy
sector.
In 2020, Samruk-Energy JSC completed the program of the complete modernization
of the Shardara HPP. Investments in the project amounted to KZT38 bn.
The modernization provided an increase in the service life of the HPP
to 45-50 years and an increase in energy production from 480 to 537 mln kWh
per year.
