KASE determined leading operators of the exchange's GS purchase-sale sector for April and the first 4 months of this year

/IRBIS, May 4, 03/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) defined list of companies - leading operators of the KASE's government securities (GS) purchase-sale market for April of 2003. The place of company in the list is given according to portion of concluded deals in aggregate gross turnover of trades (total of purchased and sold bonds). At that, unlike 2002 only purchase-sale deals (4.7% of the secondary market) were taken into account because reverse and direct repo transactions (95.3% of stock exchange's secondary GS market) are considered in separate rating. The position of each entity was expressed in currency of the payments - tenge. A total of 24 companies participated in trades with GS at KASE in March excluding the National Bank of Kazakhstan (banks, broker-dealer companies, pension assets management companies, SAPF, non-banking financial organizations). Below is the list of 10 the most active operators given in descending order of their stakes in total deals volume and also their positions in March of 2003.
