In April of 2003 volume of deals on GS purchase and sale at KASE totaled KZT13.3 bn and decreased by 45.2% relative to March

/IRBIS, May 4, 03/ - In April of year 2003, in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange's (KASE) GS purchase and sale sector 268 deals for the total amount of KZT13,344.0 m ($87.8 m) were fixed. Last month number of deals, which was 289, reached KZT24,353.2 m ($160.8 m). During the month exchange's turnover in the sector decreased by 45.2% in tenge and 45.4% in dollars. Relative to April of 2002 the exchange's turnover decreased by 21.7% (by KZT3,703.7 m).
