Revenues of NC KTZh in the 1st quarter of 2003 were equal 108.8% of the plan

/Kazakhstan today, April 18, 03/ - According to the data of on-line statistics of NC Kazakstan temir zholy CJSC the company's revenues in the 1st quarter of 2003 from primary activity equaled to 108.8% of the plan that is higher by 16.5% relative to the level of 2002. The message, which was spread by the department on public relations of NC Kazakstan temir zholy CJSC on April 18. Volume of made production (goods turnover plus passenger turnover) equaled to 36.5 bn. tons-kilometers that is more by 1.3% than it had been planned and by 9.4% relative to the index of similar period of 2002. At that, increase of goods turnover was 1.4% relative to the plan and 10.1% - to 2002, passengers transportation is more by 0.2% than it was planned. Run of locomotives increased by 12.4%, average daily locomotives' productivity increased by 2.7% relative to similar period of last year. At the same time average daily productivity of a car increased by 9.8%. In March of 2003 volume of made production of KTZh equaled to 12.4 m. Tons- kilometers that is more by 5.1% than plan and by 14.3% than similar index of 2002. In March passengers turnover reached 738 m. passengers-km, having exceeded the plan by 5.1%, level of March of 2002 - by 3.8%. Goods turnover was 11.66 m. t-km net. Run of loaded car was 209.2 m. car-km, that is more by 10.2 % than the planned task and by 15.2% than similar index of last year. There was reduced average time of working car's turnover that allowed to increase productivity of rolling-stock. Revenues from primary activity in March of 2003 exceeded the level of planned forecasts by 4.9% and level of March of 2002 - by 3.3%. [2003-04-18]
