In March of 2003 volume of deals on GS purchase and sale at KASE totaled KZT24.4 bn and decreased by 20.9% relative to February

/IRBIS, April 2, 03/ - In March of year 2003, in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange's (KASE) GS purchase and sale sector 289 deals for the total amount of KZT24,353.2 m ($160.8 m) were fixed. Last month number of deals, which was 302, reached KZT30,797.4 m ($200.9 m). During the month exchange's turnover in the sector decreased by 20.9% in tenge and 20.0% in dollars. Relative to March of 2002 the exchange's turnover decreased by 9.2% (by KZT2,458.3 m).
