First oil has started through system of Main oil pipeline "Kenkiyak-Atyrau"

/Kazakhstan today, March 31, 03/ - Today, on March 31 200 km of the system of main oil pipeline "Kenkiyak-Atyrau" have been filled with oil. A correspondent of KZ-today was informed about it in the press-service of "North-West pipeline company "MunaiTas" CJSC. According to the information of the press-service, there are several days left till final filling of the oil pipeline, the length of which is 448.8 km. As was informed before, on March 28 in Atyrau solemn ceremony of opening of the first stating complex of the main oil pipeline "Kenkiyak-Atyrau" was held. Prime-minister of Kazakhstan Imangali Tasmagambetov, president of NC "KazMunaiGas" CJSC Uzakbai Karabalin, akim of Atyrau oblast Aslan Musin and others took part in the solemn ceremony of opening. This project has been realized by NWPC "MunaiTas" CJSC, which has 51% of shares in this project and "Chinese National Oil Company International in Kazakhstan" LLP, which has 49% of shares. The oil pipeline will connect oil pumping station "Kenkiyak" with oil pumping station "Atyrau" of KazTransOil CJSC and further with export terminals of Caspian pipeline Consortium (CPC) and oil pipeline Atyrau-Samara. All oil producing enterprises, which are situated on the rout of the oil pipeline "Kenkiyak Atyrau" will be consumers of the system, main of them are - "CNPC Aktobemunaigas", "Kazakhoil-Aktobe", "Kazakhoil-Emba", "Kazakhturkmunai" and other. Initial carrying capacity of the pipeline will be 6 m tons a year with following increasing up to 12 m. tons a year. [2003-03-31]
