The solemn ceremony of opening of the first starting complex of main pipeline "Kenkiyak Atyrau" has begun in Atyrau

/Kazakhstan today, March 28, 03/ - Today, on March 28 in Atyrau the solemn ceremony of opening of the first starting complex of main pipeline "Kenkiyak Atyrau" has begun. Prime-minister of Kazakhstan Imangali Tasmagambetov took part in the solemn ceremony of opening. A correspondent of KZ-today was informed about it in the press-service of "North-western pipeline company "Munai Tas". During the welcoming speech at the ceremony of opening Tasmagambetov noted the speed of works fulfillment on building of the pipeline and thanked oil sphere workers for work. Besides, Kazakhstan prime-minister marked the importance of new technologies introduction while building of the pipeline "Kenkiyak Atyrau". Besides, President of NC KazMunaiGas CJSC Uzakbay Karabalin, akim of Atyrau oblast Aslan Musin and other take part in the official ceremony of the pipeline. This project has been realized by NWPC "MunaiTas" CJSC, which has 51% of shares in this project, and "Chinese National Oil Company International in Kazakhstan" LLP, which has 49% of shares. The oil pipeline will connect oil pumping station "Kenkiyak" with oil pumping station "Atyrau" of KazTransOil CJSC and further with export terminals of Caspian pipeline Consortium (CPC) and oil pipeline Atyrau-Samara. All oil producing enterprises, which are situated on the rout of the oil pipeline "Kenkiyak Atyrau" will be consumers of the system, main of them are - "CNPC Aktobemunaigas", "Kazakhoil-Aktobe", "Kazakhoil-Emba", "Kazakhturkmunai" and other. Initial carrying capacity of the pipeline will be 6 m. Tons a year with following increasing up to 12 m. tons a year. Extension of the pipeline's rout "Kenkiyak Atyrau" will be 448.8 km. Building of the pipeline was started in August if 2002. Russian company "StroyTransGas" acted as the general contractor. While building there was paid special attention on ecological aspect, in particular, matters of rational nature usage, decrease of negative influence of production activity upon the environment and creation of ecological safety. Thus, while crossing the river Ural, there was used horizontally-directed drilling method, which excludes negative influence upon the environment and lets preserve beds and banks of the river. Laying of the pipeline was made on the depth of 19.49 meters under the river's bottom with drilling of well, the length of which was 841.18 meters. While building of the linear portion of the oil pipeline "Kenkiyak Atyrau" 470 units of special equipment were used and 1003 persons were enabled, while exploitation of the oil pipeline 96 new workplaces will be created.
