Alliance Bank OJSC (Kazakhstan) has celebrated its first birthday

/IRBIS, March 21, 03/ - On March 13 Alliance Bank OJSC (Almaty, former
Irtyshbusinessbank OJSC), whose bonds are traded in Kazakhstan stock
exchange's (KASE) highest listing category, has celebrated its first
"birthday". The bank's message, which was distributed today, says about it.
Precisely on this day in 2002 the bank changed its name and status - from
regional into republican.
The message says that during this period of time the bank's assets
increased 3.6 times, having approached to KZT30 bn., deposit base -
correspondingly 4.3 times, having reached KZT21.6 bn. as of March 7 of
2003. As the result the stake of Alliance Bank OJSC at term deposit market
reached by the end of February 4%. Now, according to this index, the bank
takes the 6th place among all Kazakhstan banks. Credit portfolio of Alliance
Bank OJSC increased within this period 2.8 times and reached KZT19.9 bn.
