THE BID AT THE AUCTION TO PLACE MEKKAM-12 OF ISSUE 148 EXCEEDS THE ASK TWO TIMES

/KASE, May 15, 2020/ – A repeated special trading session for the offering government short-term treasury bonds of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MEKKAM) was held in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) trading system today. Planned offering volume was KZT50.0 bn. 42 orders were submitted to KASE trading system during placement of MEKKAM-12 of the issue 148 (KZK100000241), of which 39 orders with the total volume of KZT99.4 bn remained active at the end of the order collection. Thus, the ask exceeded the bid by almost two times. As a result of the auction, the issuer raised KZT58 bn. Offering volume in nominal terms was KZT64.3 bn. Previous placement of short-term treasury bonds of the Ministry of Finance was held in August 2014. Market participants showed great interest in this offering. The number of orders submitted during this auction exceeded average indicator of 2020 by eight times. Detailed information on the results of the auction will be released additionally. [2020-05-15]
