/Kazakhstan today, March 20, 03/ - In Kazakhstan the greatest increase of
prices for consumer goods and services in February of 2003, in comparison
with January, was fixed in the republic's capital Astana - 1.2%, informed
Kazakhstan statistics agency.
According to the statistics agency's data, prices for consumer goods and
services in the reporting period increased in all republic's regions, excluding
North-Kazakhstan oblast, in which prices remained in the level of January of
this year.
At the same time, the least their growth was in February in Kostanai and
Mangistau oblasts - by 0.1% in each.
As was informed before, in February of 2003 consumer prices index as the
whole in the republic was 100.5%. Consumer goods became more
expensive by 0.8%, nonfoods and paid services - by 0.2%.
