Tengri Bank reports temporary restrictions on debit transactions

/KASE, April 22, 2020/ – Tengri Bank (Almaty), whose securities are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided information statements
to KASE:
According to the information provided, from April 14, 2020, Tengri Bank has
imposed temporary restrictions in the form of cumulative daily limit in the amount
of KZT50,000 per day on debit transactions issued by the bank.
Tengri Bank also informs about temporary restrictions in Tengri+ mobile banking
for individuals:
1. From April 9, 2020, foreign exchange transactions using bank accounts are
temporarily suspended.
2. From April 10, 2020, a temporary restriction in the form of suspension of
payments from the population to the benefit of Beeline mobile operator has
been introduced.
3. From April 14, 2020, a temporary restriction is introduced in the form of a
cumulative daily limit on transactions related to transfers to bank accounts
and debit cards opened in other second-tier banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- in the amount of KZT20,000 per day.
According to Tengri Bank’s information, "from April 14, 2020, in order to comply
with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 285 dated
March 15, 2020 "On the imposition of a state of emergency in the Republic of
Kazakhstan" and executive directives of authorized state bodies of the Republic
of Kazakhstan, the services for transfer and payment of transfers under the
payment systems "Golden Crown" and "Western Union" are temporarily suspended."
