In 2002 oil and gas producing enterprises of Mangistau oblast produced more than 12 m tons of oil

/Kazakhstan today, February 7, 03/ - In the past year oil and gas producing enterprises of Mangistau oblast produced 12 m 451 th. 821 tons of hydrocarbon raw stuff that is more by 1 m 609 th. 561 tons in comparison with the year 2001. About it a correspondent of KZ-today was informed in the oblast's department of economics, industry and trade. Leading position among these enterprises belongs to Ozenmunaigas OJSC, which produced, according to results of 2002, 4 m 833 th. tons of oil. Mangistaumunaigas OJSC produced 4 m 400 th. tons of oil and is on the second place. Karazhanbasmunai OJSC also has good speed - indicator for 2001 - 1 m 248 th. 398 tons, 2002 - 1 m 791 th. 84 tons. Karakudukmunai CJSC - oil production level in comparison with 2001 increased by 10.9% and production in 2002 equaled to 339.187 th. tons. The company "Texaco North Buzachi Inc" also develops the speed of production. In 2001 there was produced here 215.6 th. tons and in 2002 - 327.6 th. tons. [2003-02-07]
