Trade balance of Kazakhstan in January-November of 2002 +$2.8 bn

/REUTERS, January 14, 03/ - Kazakhstan statistics agency informed that
positive external trade balance of Kazakhstan (including CIS countries), in
accordance with customs statistics data without unorganized trade, in the
period January-November of 2002 equaled to $2.8 bn in comparison with
positive balance equaling to $2.2 bn within similar period of 2001.
Within the 11 months of 2002 export increased by 10%, import (including
expenses for transportation and insurance) - by 3%.

23.1% of export and 46.3% of all import deliveries fell to the share of CIS
countries within January-November of 2002 whereas within similar period of
previous year these shares amounted to 30.3% and 52.2% correspondingly.
Russia remains the major trade partner of Kazakhstan: its share in total
volume of export in January-November equaled to 15.9%, and in volumes of
import - 38.8%.
