In 2002 Volume of CS transactions at KASE reached $767.6 m and increased by 51.8% relative to 2001

/IRBIS, January 5, 03/ - During 2002 volume of corporate securities (CS) transactions made at Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) reached equivalent of $767.6 m, or KZT118.6 bn and compared to last year increased by $261.8 m (KZT43.8 bn) or 51.8%. In the given volume there were taken into account took into account deals on state blocks of shares (SBS) of Corporation Kazakhmys OJSC (Zheskazgan), which had been made on December 27 of 2002 and the final settlements on which have not been made yet. According to stock exchange's rules money for the SBS is to be transferred by purchasers within 7 days since the date of deal making. According to the data of Central depository of securities CJSC (Almaty), money have not been transferred yet. In case of cancellation of the mentioned deals IRBIS will correct the mentioned above data. In 2001 volume of CS transactions at KASE was equivalent of USD505.8 m or KZT74.8 bn.
