The system of Kazakhstan pipelines does not allow to transport oil sufficient volume

/Kazakhstan today, December 24, 02/ - "The main perspective activity of KazTransOil CJSC is increasing of possibilities of the company's pipeline system on accepting of the whole oil, which is produced in Kazakhstan, and it transportation to market by the routs, which maximally satisfy consignor of goods. Today possibilities of the pipeline system do not allow to do it in sufficient volume". About this today, December 24 at the press-conference in Almaty was stated by deputy general director of KazTransOil CJSC Sabr Yesimbekov. According to Yesimbekov's information, on the basis of thorough analysis there has been developed Production program and the Program of development of Kazakhstan pipeline network with outlet to export directions. In case of successful realization of long-term development program, starting from 2010, they will allow to take up to 70 m tons of oil a year. Within the framework of new production tasks, and also in order to increase competitiveness of the pipeline system of KazTransOil CJSC, the level of the company's capital investments in 2003 will equal to about KZT30 bn. More than KZT6 bn of them are to be spent for major repairs of 130 km oil pipeline system of KazTransOil CJSC. Besides, in 2003 intends to finish realization of a number of investment projects, which were started in previous years. Among them are "Modernization of production-technical communication network ", creation of the single system of company's management, introduction of the system of supervisory control and pipelines management, building oil pipeline Alibekmola-Kenkiyak with reservoir park.
