/KASE, August 6, 2019/ – Altyn Bank JSC (Subsidiary Bank of China CITIC Bank Corporation Ltd) (Almaty), a member of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press release of August 6, 2019: quote Altyn Bank JSC (Subsidiary Bank of China CITIC Bank Corporation Ltd) financed the Qishlok Qurilish Bank JSCB (the Republic of Uzbekistan) in the amount of 3 million US dollars under a syndicated loan, which was pledged by the Russian bank Transkapitalbank PJSC as the managing underwriter. Apart from Altyn Bank, there were 6 Russian financial institutions acted as parties to the transaction. The loan was provided to the borrower for a period of up to one year for general corporate purposes, as well as to finance the borrower clients' trading contracts. "This syndicated loan was the first in the history of the banking system of Uzbekistan, a country that implements large-scale economic reform, - commented Zhanara Aikimbayeva, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Altyn Bank JSC, - and we hope that this debut transaction will mark the beginning of long-term cooperation with Uzbek and Russian partners.
