Bank CenterCredit OJSC (Kazakhstan) redoubled net income for January- November of 2002

/IRBIS, December 11, 02/ - Bank CenterCredit OJSC (Almaty), whose securities
are circulating under Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) official "А" listing
category, distributed today press-release about results of activity for eleven
months of this year.
According to the bank's information its net profit as of December 1 of 2002 was
equal to KZT653 m (155/$1), having increased in comparison with similar period
of 2001 by 104.7%. Shareholders equity since January 1 till December 1 of this
year increased by 78.53%, having reached KZT6.129 bn.
The bank's assets increased within the same period by 55.53%, having reached
KZT48.214 bn. Loan portfolio increased by KZT12.992 bn (61.74%), deposits and
current accounts of clients - by KZT12.555 bn (62.10%), loans from
international financial organizations - by KZT972 m (41.81%), and volume of
issued bonds reached KZT2.200 bn, having increased within the year by KZT1.532
bn (229.34%).
Bank CenterCredit OJSC, within the framework of Kazakhstan competition
"Choice of the year" according to results of 2002, was awarded for "The fastest
money transfers ".
The bank is one of the five largest banks of Kazakhstan. As of December 1 of
2002 the bank had 19 branches and 57 cash settlement offices all over the
territory of Kazakhstan.
Bank CenterCredit OJSC has long-term rating on banking deposits in foreign
currency Ва2 from rating agency Moody's Investors Service.
