Export of oil from Kazakhstan in January-September of 2002 increased by 22%

/Almaty bureau REUTERS, November 15, 02/ - Export of oil and gas
condensate from Kazakhstan in January-September of 2002 increased by
22% in comparison with previous year and amounted to 29.171 million tons,
including CIS countries - 7.008 million tons, informed Statistics agency of
Kazakhstan.
At the same time, export volume of oil and gas condensate in monetary
terms within nine months rose by 5% and amounted to $3,452.9m.
In 2001 Kazakhstan extracted 39.7 million tons of oil and gas condensate.
As Statistics agency informs, volumes of Kazakhstan export increased within
nine months by 4% in comparison with previous period and equaled to
$6,818.6m. Trade balance turned out to be positive in the amount of
$2,020.1m.
In the structure of Kazakhstan export in January-September of the current
year the share of mineral commodities equaled to 60%.

Major purchasers of Kazakhstan export within this period were firms from
Bermuda Islands - 19.4%, Russia - 16.1%, China - 10.7%.
