KazTransOil CJSC (Kazakhstan) set in industrial exploitation the multifunctional automatized system of enterprise management R/3

/IRBIS, September 25, 02/ - Press-service of KazTransOil (Astana) distributed today press-release, in which it is said that the company, within the framework of pilot project set in industrial exploitation the multifunctional automatized system of enterprise management R/3, which allows to make effective management of financial and material flows in real time operation mode in the branches of Central machinery and East branch of KazTransOil CJSC. It is said in the press-release that there were works on determination of requirements for the system of enterprise management, studying of similar systems market, conducting of tender before the project on the new system introduction R/3. Consumer of the tender was SAP AG (Germany) - which takes one of the leading places at the market of software tools. Since August of 2000 till April of 2001 there were carried out works designing, tooling and testing of the system R/3. Within the framework of technical project there was created computing system on the basis of servers of the company- producer Sun Microsystems, hermetical zone for servers, works on modernization of corporate network, provision of remote branches with communication channels. Since April till September of 2001 there was conducted experimental exploitation in the project's pilot zone. Since January till August of 2002 there was made shift of Central machinery and West branch of KazTransOil CJSC to the mode of industrial exploitation of the system R/3, received balance in the system R/3 for the first half year of 2002, and there was reached operating mode of users in real time operation mode. It is also informed that introduction of modules FI-finance, СО-controlling, SD- sale ММ-management materials of the system R/3 allowed to improve and optimize the work of branches of Central machinery and the West branch. At present the project's working group prepares for introduction of the system R/3 in Aktyubinsk and West branch of KazTransOil CJSC. Finishing of the project is planned on 2003. [2002-09-25]
