Samruk-Energy announces planned commissioning of new facility at Shardara hydroelectric power plant in December 2018

KASE, November 28, 2018/ – Samruk-Energy (Astana), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press release: quote The first of four hydroelectric units at the Shardarinsk hydropower plant will be put into operation in December this year. As of today, the testing of process equipment have been successfully completed at the plant and the main construction and installation works have been performed. We would like to remind that as part of the program for complete retrofit of Shardarinsk hydropower plant, it is planned to replace all four hydroelectric units of the plant until 2020. The total cost of the project is 38 billion tenge. 32% of the project’s financing will be effected by using own funds, 68% - borrowed funds.
