Since 1999 enterprises of Ust-Kamenogorsk provide stable growth of volumes of industrial production

/Kazakhstan today, September 17, 02/ - In the course of 1999-2001 enterprises
of Ust-Kamenogorsk city provided stable growth of industrial production volumes
(1999 - 117.0 %, 2000 - 120.2 %, 2001 - 116.3 %). Volume of industrial
production for January-August of 2002 increased in comparison with similar
period of last year by 3% and equaled to KZT54.5bn (46 % of EKO volumes),
informed a correspondent of KZ-today.
Within January-August of 2002 volume of investments into the main capital
equaled to KZT6.7bn of capital investments (50.2 % of EKO investments). The
most part of investments (45.9 %) has been used for purchasing of machines,
equipment, instrument, inventory, and also for building and assembly jobs
(38.3%). Means of enterprises and organizations remain the main source of
financing into the main capital (86.2 % of total volume). In the structure of
investments into the main capital 68.1% belong to manufacturing industry, 12.0
% - to transport and communication, 6.3 % - distribution of electrical power,
gas and water, 2.7 % - to building.
Within eight months of 2002 volume of transfers by transport enterprises of the
city equaled to 1.7m tons, passengers - 16.3m persons, regulation of passenger
transport moving equaled to 98.8 %. As of September 1 of 2002 50 bus routs and
12 microbus routs act, every day 282 buses and 65 microbuses work. Besides, 33
trams serve 4 tram routs. Within January-August of the current year the city's
transport enterprises purchased 35 buses and 5 microbuses "GASEL", 204 buses
and 5 microbuses have been repaired.
Within January-August of 2002 all farms and individual economic enterprises
sold for slaughter of cattle and poultry in live weight 777.9 tons that is more
by 19.0% than within similar period of 2001. There have been produced 5.6 th.
tons of cow milk (106.9 % to similar period of 2001) and received 2005 th. eggs
(90.6 %). The main producers of cattle production is housekeeping.
