/IRBIS, September 3, 02/ - In August of year 2002, deals volume on GS at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) in all sectors of the market accounted for 1,790 deals for the total amount of KZT224,251.0m ($1,453.0m). In last month at 2,030 deals the volume reached KZT247,304.0m ($1,607.5m). For the month exchange turnover of GS decreased by 9.3% in tenge and 9.6% in dollar. Relative to August of 2001 the exchange turnover rose 3.4 times (by KZT179.6bn). In the sector of primary floatation two effective specialized trades on floatation (and additional floatation) of East-Kazakhstan oblast's municipal bonds of the second issue (KZF2KY030021, trade code of KASE - VKU036.002; $100.700m, Aug 10, 02 - Aug 8, 05, semi-annual coupon 8.50% APR) have been conducted. Participants have made 3 deals in the total amount of KZT390.2m. In the sale-purchase sector 251 deals were made for total amount of KZT18,083.8m. In comparison with previous month a turnover in the sector increased by 71.8%.
