KazTransGaz CJSC announced about successful attraction of syndicated loan totaling $62.5m

/Kazakhstan today, August 07, 02/ - Company KazTransGaz attracted the
first syndicated loan totaling $62.5m, it is said in KazTransGaz CJSC report.
As it is noted in the message, the loan was granted under guarantee of
Intergaz Central Asia (ICA). It is secured by assignment of payments for gas
transportation according to contract between Intergaz Central Asia and
Gazprom OJSC.
This syndicated credit line was used for refinancing of 3-year issue of credit
notes, organized for KazTransGaz in October 2000 for acquisition of ICA
business, is said in the information. The issue was carried out under
guarantee of RK Government.
According to words of Deputy General director Saodat Tashpulatova no
guarantees from RK Government were needed for attraction of syndicated
loan. The loan was attracted for 18 months at LIBOR rate plus 3.5%.
Bayerische Hypo und Vereinsbank AG, Natexis Bangues Popularires, DePfa
Investment BankLimited, BCEN-Eurobank entered syndicate, which was
organized by Bank ABN AMRO.
KazTransGaz CJSC was formed in 2000 for acquisition, control, servicing
and exploiting of infrastructure of main-line gas pipelines in Kazakhstan.
KazTransGaz, being owner of 100% of Intergaz Central Asia shares, is a
part of national oil and gas Company KazMunaiGaz and controls main
system of gas transportation of RK with extension of 9 th. km and annual
transmission capacity up to 190bn cubic meters.
