Russia imposed limitation on import of galvanized rolling from Kazakhstan
06.08.02 00:00
/Kazakhstan today, August 06, 02/ - On Monday, August 05, RF introduced
antidumping duties on delivery of galvanized rolling from Kazakhstan totaling
36.9% and the Ukraine - amounting to 31.8%. As it was informed to KZ-today
correspondent in committee on antidumping control of the Ministry of Economy of
RK, limitation measures were caused by numerous complaints of Russian steel-
producers on the fact that Kazakhstan and the Ukraine rolling is delivered with
dumping prices.
Limitation measures are introduced with 4-month term till the end of the
investigation. At present Russia examines activity of only galvanized rolling
producer in Kazakhstan - Ispat Karmet.
The committee on antidumping control reminded that in May of this year at the
level of the Heads of states-participants of EurAsEU the agreement on non-usage
of protective measures to each other was signed. And this decision of RF
contradicts intergovernmental document.
Antidumping duties was set on goods, which are classified by 7210 49 900 0 code
of Russia (rolling plain out of iron or non-alloy steel with width of 600 mm
and more, galvanized by other methods, other). Ispat Karmet exports products to
Russia on 48 codes. So the limitation measures of Russia will not strongly
influence the position of Kazakhstan producer, assured in committee on
antidumping control.
