Stock Market Simulator: trading volume from September 17 to September 28 reached KZT776.3 mln

/KASE, October 1, 2018/ – As reported earlier, training competition "Stock Market
Simulator" organized by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) is conducted from
September 17 to October 17, 2018.
During the two weeks of the competition (from September 17 to September 28),
trading volume reached KZT776.3 mln. The average daily volume of transactions
for the said period exceeded KZT70.5 mln.
The below is the information on all transactions made by instruments during the
period from September 17 to September 28, 2018:

The maximum number and the maximum volume of transactions made by one participant
is 218 and KZT176 mln, respectively.
Currently, 1,253 students from more than 40 various educational institutions have
registered for participation in the Stock Market Simulator project.
The purpose of the project is to increase financial literacy of young specialists
and provide them practical skills on the stock market. Students are given the
opportunity to trade in most liquid securities in the Kazakhstani market, most of
which is part of the KASE Index. At the beginning of trades, each participant is
provided with a portfolio worth one million tenge for its management. The main
task of students is to form the best portfolio and it will determine winners of
the competition.
This competition has been conducted by KASE group of companies since 2008.
