/Kazakhstan today, June 27, 02/ - Main form of privatization in Kazakhstan
became sale of stocks "at stock market under transparent and
understandable procedures". Vice-premier - Minister of Finance Alexander
Pavlov said it in his speech today during the joint meeting of the Parliament
Chambers.
According to his information to this day 85% of industrial production in
Kazakhstan is conducted in privatized enterprises, and approximately 80% of
GDP is formed within the private sector.
A. Pavlov also noted that such infrastructure enterprises as Kazakhstan
temir zholy, KEGOC and others would stay in Government control. "They will
stay in the government' property for rather long time", noted vice-premier.
