In April of 2002 transactions volume on GS at KASE in all sectors of the market totaled KZT175.1bn and decreased by 27.0% relative to March

/IRBIS, May 02, 02/ - In April of year 2002, deals volume on GS at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) in all sectors of the market accounted for 1,638 deals for the total amount of KZT175,114.8m ($1,146.1m). In last month at 1,585 deals the volume reached KZT239,970.5m ($1,576.4). For the month exchange turnover of GS decreased by 27.03%. Relative to April 2001 the exchange turnover rose 2.5 times (by KZT105,226.8bn). In the sale-purchase sector 330 deals were made for total amount of KZT17,047.7m. In comparison with previous month a turnover in the sector decreased by 36.4%.
