Development Bank of Kazakhstan announces funding of construction of first launch facility of wind power plant

/KASE, January 23, 2018/ – Development Bank of Kazakhstan (Astana), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press release: quote Development Bank of Kazakhstan (subsidiary of National managing holding "Baiterek", hereinafter – DBK, Bank) opened funding for CATEC Green Energy LLP, for purposes of building the first launch facility of wind power plant (WPP) with a capacity of 50 MWt (hereinafter – the Project). The WPP is located 40 km away from Astana: in village Kostomar of Akmola region. After commissioning of the second stage the total capacity of the WPP is going to be 100 MWt. The Project costs KZT46.1 bn. The Development Bank of Kazakhstan provides a KZT30.5 bn loan for 10.5 years. The Project also involves a DBK's subsidiary – DBK-Leasing, providing KZT3.6 bn for equipment leasing.
