Plan of KazMunaiGas structure to be presented to Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

/IRBIS, March 20, 02/ - Kazakhstan today informs, with the reference to the minister of energy and mineral resources of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Shkolnik, that the plan of the national company KazMunaiGas structure will be presented to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan for approval. He said that Kazakhstan, like any other nation, planned to create a strong national company capable of participating in oil projects, including the Caspian shelf. It is said that the creation of the national company will eliminate the redundancy of functions in oil sector, cut administrative expenses, increase the effectiveness of the company and the new company is a successor of two companies Kazakhoil and KazTransOil, and that all contracts of these companies will be effective. It was mentioned that in order to develop the Caspian shelf the leading companies should be used with their experience in the sea oil works. The Netherlands' ambassador stated that the ambassadors of the European countries in Kazakhstan were willing to visit Baikonyr space launching site.
