Positive trade balance of Kazakhstan in January-November 2001 - $2,2bn

/Almaty bureau REUTERS, Jan 15, 02/ - REUTERS informs, with the
reference to the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, that trade balance of
Kazakhstan in January-November of 2001 is positive at $2,188.2m
compared with positive $3,728.2m of the same period of 2000.

It is said that in 11 months CIS accounted for 30.3% of exports and 52.2% of
imports, whereas in similar period of last year these figures were 26.6% and
54.8%, respectively.
Russian Federation remains as the major trade partner of Kazakhstan in
January-November accounting for 20.3% of exports and 45.8% of imports,
respectively.
