In 2001 transactions volume on GS at KASE reached 1.069tln tenge at the increase of 2.4 times relative to year 2000

/IRBIS, Jan 03, 02/ - In year 2001, deals volume on GS at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) including bonds of local executive bodies accounted for KZT1,069.2bn ($7,250.2m) and increased 2.38 times relative to year 2000 in 2.39 times. In 2000 deals volume on GS at KASE didn't exceed KZT446.9bn ($3,129.0m). In this statistics IRBIS agency for the first time didn't include exchange transactions with bonds of international financial organizations (IFO) which from this moment will be considered in a separate block. In sale-purchase sector of GS based on deals volume the most tradable bonds in 2001 were euronotes of Kazakhstan of third issue (trade code KASE - ENU04.10; deals volume - KZT47,303,9m; 21.5% of sector's turnover). In repo sector of GS at KASE including automatic repo floor traders actively worked with MEAKAM (MAM120.001; KZT172,948.6m; 20.5% deals in the sector).
