/IRBIS, information of the KASE Listing commission, Dec 28, 01/ - The
following information is published due to the admittance of the eighth issue
privileged shares of KAZKOMMERTSBANK OJSC into official list of the
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) under category "A".
According to data of KAZKOMMERTSBANK OJSC, its liabilities for the
period 1999-2000 increased by KZT55.6bn, or 139.8%, for 9 months of 2001
- by KZT45.3bn or by 47.5% relative to year 2000 and totaled KZT140.7bn.
Increase of liabilities for 9 months of 230001 took place due to increase of
volume of attractions from other banks by KZT8.6bn or by 33.0% relative to
the year beginning.
As of October 01,2001 share of corporate clients deposits accounted for
57.5% of total volume of deposits against 76.1% at the end of 2000. Absolute
increase totaled KZT15.6bn. Share of physical persons deposits in total
deposits volume of KAZKOMMERTSBANK OJSC in comparison with the
beginning of 2001 increased from 23.9% to 42.5% (growth is KZT28.5bn).
The bank substantially activated its activity at term deposits market, share of
which in total deposits volume increased for 9 months of 2001 from 69.2%
against 58.2% for the beginning of 2001. Share of the bank at term deposits
market for 9 months of current year rose by 5% relative to the end of 2000
and reached 24.1%.
CREDIT LINES AND LOANS
KAZKOMMERTSBANK OJSC has more than four years history of borrowing
at international capital markets.
On December 08,2000 with the help of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and American
Express Bank a syndicated loan for USD41m with term of six months and
option for prolongation for six months more was organized. In June of 2001
KAZKOMMERTSBANK OJSC used the option for prolonging of loan for next
six months. Initial amount of loan agreement was increased to USD62m.

On December 20,2001 the bank signed a loan agreement for the amount of
USD100m with term of 12 months with possible option for prolonging of
same term. Margin on loan accounts for 2.75% APR over 6-month LIBOR.
Loan was granted by the syndicate of 22 international banks. Loan was
attracted for financing trade operations of clients.
