Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan says subsidiary Kazteleport acquired status of payment institution

/KASE, July 12, 2017/ – Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan (Almaty), whose securities are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following press release of July 12: quote Hereby JSC Halyk Bank notifies that in pursuance of paragraph 4 of Article 16 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Payments and Payment Systems its subsidiary JSC Kazteleport has been registered as a payment institution and assigned a registration number. In accordance with subparagraph 4) of paragraph 2 of Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Payments and Payment Systems", JSC Kazteleport, as the payment institution, may provide the following payment services: - processing of payments initiated by clients in electronic form and the transfer of necessary information to the bank or the organization that carries out certain types of banking operations to effect payments and (or) transfers or accept money for such payments. JSC Kazteleport provides a wide range of telecommunication services to Halyk Bank and its subsidiaries, processing services to banks for authorization requests routing. JSC Kazteleport is Kazakhstan’s operator that provides communication channels to Kazakhstan Interbank Settlement Center, JSC Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, and First Credit Bureau LLP. As of 1 July 2017, the JSC Kazteleport assets amounted to KZT1.813 million. Net income for six months of 2017 amounted to KZT192.6 million.
