Hurricane Kumkol Munai company has fixed maximum volume of oil extraction

/Kazakhstan today, Dec 10, 01/ - Hurricane Kumkol Munai company (HKM)
on the eve of its 5th anniversary has fixed maximum volume of oil extraction
- 115,748 barrels. It was informed by Lucy Stratulate, the public relations
director of Hurricane-SHNOS group of companies to KZ-today. It's
anticipated that by the end of year 2001 oil extraction will have reached
120,000 barrels of oil per day.
According to L. Stratulate, by the end of 2001 the company will have invested
$88 million for modernization of existing industrial objects and optimization of
technological projects at Kumkol and close fitting to it fields.
During 5 years at total volume of investments $296 million Hurricane became
the fourth largest oil extracting company in Kazakhstan covering
approximately 70% of local budget of Kyzylorda in the form of taxes.
Due to a celebration of 5th anniversary of HKM 188 best employees of the
company have been awarded also prizes at ceremonial meeting held in
Kyzylorda. Also the concert with participation of famous Kazakhstan and
Russia artists took place. According to the president of HKM Marlow
Thomas, "this field day is a result of tenacious and self-denying efforts of our
employees".
