Temir Zholy RSE recommences from December 07 the traffic through the territory of Kazakhstan of passenger train Dushanbe - Astrakhan

/IRBIS, Dec 6, 01/ - From December 07 the traffic of passenger train
#223/224 Dushanbe-Astrakhan which will run two times per week through
the territory of Kazakhstan will be recommenced. It is said in the press
release of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy RSE (Astana) distributed today. The
decision about recommencement of the route between these cities was
together with railroad administrations of Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan
and Uzbekistan.
Some time Kazakhstan Temir Zholy RSE notified the administration of Tajik
rail road that in connection with multiple violations of rules of luggage and
passengers transportation and also in accordance with the resolution of the
government of Kazakhstan form September 21,2001 "On temporary
limitations for entry into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and
transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan" above mentioned
train will not be accepted by the rail road of Kazakhstan form September
28,2001. Tajik side took into account notes of railroad administration s of
Russia and Kazakhstan and made more strict the control in its trains for
keeping rules of traffic security, rules of luggage and passengers
transportation, sanitary norms.
Now train #223/224 form Dushanbe will run on Fridays and Mondays. In
reverse direction - on Mondays and Thursdays.
On the territory of Kazakhstan stops at butt stations Beineu and
Ganyushkino for custom and frontier inspections, and also two 20 minutes
stops at stations Makat and Atyrau for technical inspection and replacement
of engine crew.
