Monetary mass (M3) in Kazakhstan as of October 1, 2001 - KZT533.8bn

/IRBIS, Nov 19, 01/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the Statistics
agency of Kazakhstan, that as of October 1, 2001 monetary mass (M3)
increased to KZT533.8bn from KZT360.0bn on similar date of last year.
By the end of September the proportion of cash within total monetary mass
is said to have increased by 0.3% in comparison with the August's figure.
It is also said that KZT7.4bn was issued into the circulation in September of
this year.

The volume of monetary mass (M3) last year (without final turnovers) has
increased from KZT 273.9bn to KZT399.5bn.
An official rate of refinancing of the National Bank of Kazakhstan as of
September 6 is 11.0 % APR.
