KazTransOil CJSC (Kazakhstan) paid second coupon on its first issue bonds

/IRBIS, Oct 24, 01/ - On October 23, 2001 KazTransOil CJSC (Astana) informed the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) that on this day the company paid the second coupon on its first issue inscribed coupon bonds (KZ73LAONAA35; official list of KASE securities of category "А"; trade code KZTOb; Oct 23.00 - Oct 23.03; $100; $30m; semiannual coupon at 9.0% APR, current market return 9.22% APR). The payment is made in strict compliance with the servicing schedule of the debt. The press-release reads that the payment amount was an equivalent of $1,350,000, which is KZT199,800,000.00 at current rate of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. Based on the amount of the coupon paid, the issue has been floated completely now. By the issue terms, coupon for these bonds is paid semiannually on April 23 and October 23. The register is maintained by Fondovyi Tsentr CJSC (Almaty, license # 20050002 of the National Securities Commission of Kazakhstan, dated Dec 12, 96). All settlements related to the bonds are made in tenge at KZT/USD exchange rate of the National Bank of Kazakhstan effective on payment date. The coupon is paid using 360/30 time base (360 days in a year, 30 days in a month) to those, who bought the bonds not later than 30 days prior to the payment date. The bonds are repaid at face value with simultaneous payment of the last coupon by transferring money to the accounts of bondholders who are registered in the register 30 days prior to the maturity date.
