/IRBIS, Oct 16, 01/ - The National Bank of Kazakhstan informed Central Depository of Securities CJSC (Almaty) that it has made one-year contracts with 18 legal entities for performing functions the Primary agent on government securities (GS) market. The list includes: - KZI Bank CJSC (Almaty); - Eurasian Bank CJSC (Almaty); - CITIBANK Kazakhstan CJSC (Almaty); - ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan CJSC (Almaty); - HSBC Bank of Kazakhstan CJSC (Almaty); - Alfa-bank OJSC (Almaty); - Demir Kazakhstan Bank OJSC (Almaty); - JB LARIBA BANK OJSC (Almaty); - TEXAKABANK OJSC (Almaty); - AMB OJSC (Almaty); - Caspian Bank OJSC (Almaty); - Bank TuranAlem OJSC (Almaty); - Bank CenterCredit OJSC (Almaty); - KAZKOMMERTSBANK OJSC (Almaty); - Kazpost OJSC (Almaty); - Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan OJSC (Almaty); - Temirbank OJSC (Almaty); - Tsesnabank (Astana). The Institute of primary agents of the National Bank has existed in Kazakhstan since 1995. Since that time, all operations with notes of the National Bank on primary and secondary markets have been done by investors through Primary agents. Primary agents organize the registers of note-holders of their clients, presenting information about movement and ownership of notes to Central Depository of Securities CJSC, that organize unique republican register of holders of state securities.
