/IRBIS, Aug 22, 01/ - The GSRW informs that yesterday, the power systems of Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and Central Asia began operating simultaneously. The press service of KEGOC says that the power systems of 14 FSU states, the Baltic, Azerbaijan and Georgia included, will be operating on the same frequency. The uniting of the systems became possible after the capital repair of power transmission lines VL-500 was over. They comprise the North-South Kazakhstan 500-220 kV transit. Besides, consumers in southern Kazakhstan will get a chance to receive cheap electricity from power sources in the north of Kazakhstan.
