Kazakhstan temir zholy NSC restricts delivery of Ekibastuzi coal in Russia

/IRBIS, July 27, 01/ - Caspian news agency with reference to public relations
department of railway company informed that Kazakhstan temir zholy
restricts delivery of Ekibastuz coal in Siberia and South Ural. Due to several
cases of absence of return of revolving railway cars specially constructed for
coal transportation at Ekibastuz ring system the authority of railway company
decided to take this measure.
According to company's information Ministry of communication of Russian
federation without any notification of Kazakhstan temir zholy took away 42
revolves of which 27 are property of Kazakhstan in period June 24-July 25.
So there are 43 revolves (38 of Kazakhstan and 5 of Russia) operating under
mutual protocol dated July 06, 2000 "delivery of Ekibastuz coal in Omsk,
Sverdlovsk and Chelabynsk regions". Due to this coal delivery plan for power
stations of Sverdlovskenergo, Omskenergo and Kurgan does not operate.
