EBRD and IFC intend to be shareholders of Kazakhstani mortgage company

/IRBIS, July 11, 01/- According to the information of National Bank chairman Grigory Marchenko, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and International Financial Corporation (IFC) intend to enter the group of shareholders of Kazakhstani mortgage company CJSC. Perhaps the portion of each shareholder will reach 20%. Now National bank holds 100% of shares. Company's authorized capital is KZT1bn ($6.75m), however due to new shareholders the authorized capital will increase. Kazakhstani Mortgage Company was established in December of 2000. Its aim is to develop the secondary market of mortgage financing in Kazakhstan.
