Livening buyers of USD stimulate growth of dollar at KASE

/IRBIS, June 21, 01/ - Today the next morning trades in U.S. dollars, Deutsche marks and euros were held at Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on TOD payment terms. Eighteen banks participated in the trades. The trades in U.S. dollars opened at KZT146.30 per unit. Total of 36 deals were made. Weighted average dollar exchange rate equaled to KZT146.57 (+0.11) per unit. Volume of the session - $3.345m (+$1.635m). Exchange rate fluctuation during the trade - 0.20%. The trades were closed at KZT146.58/59 per dollar. Currency market is getting live again. Demand of the banks for the American currency, which has increased relative to yesterday, allowed the sellers in spite of weak opening of the market to raise the dollar quickly to KZT146.53 per unit level first, and then to KZT146.57 - 146.59 per dollar, where the most of the deals have been made. At closing of the morning trades dollar was at KZT146.56/61 per unit out of the Exchange, one hour later - KZT146.54/58, two hours later they were 146.55/60. At the day session of KASE on TOD payment terms at 2:00PM the dollar was at KZT146.56/57 per unit. The last deal was made at KZT146.57.
