/IRBIS, June 20, 01/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the KEGOC
power company's PR department, that the company announced a raise in its
tariffs to KZT0.518 per kWh from KZT0.419 kWh, effective from July 1, 2001.

transmission over interregional levels, while previously the losses were
covered by the consumers and paid to the power sources.
The introduction of new tariffs is said to cut the company's expenses on
buying the electricity by acquiring it on a wholesale market at minimal prices,

KEGOC has a control over the power lines extending to 23.5 th. km, and its
network includes 73 substations.
